It builds on the same operating system base used for e.g. mobile phones and tablets, extending the platform with Automotive specific features and technologies. Android Automotive offers a full-stack, turnkey platform for Automotive Infotainment.
Cars with Google built-in is a collection of applications and services that can be licensed and integrated to vehicles using AAOS.
Google has introduced Android Automotive Certification Program for validating the compliance and functionality of AAOS based products, to ensure meeting or exceeding the requirements for quality, reliability, security and privacy. Ubikon as accredited third-party laboratory(3PL) for AAOS and cars with Google built-in provides quality assurance, consultation and certification services to meet the requirements and to complete the Certification for Android Automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment systems.
